Another fabulously funny read from Louie Stowell, this time with a very clever exploration of good/evil and empathy! The glorious illustrations go hand in hand with the witty story and make this series something special.

Loki is a character that we just can’t get enough of and in this quirky interpretation, he’s a huge bundle of fun. The Loki series is a real favourite of mine and one I am constantly recommended to children and families as they are accessible to even the most reluctant of readers. Loki might not have shown any moral improvement (yet) but Odin has given him another chance to prove himself worthy of A. When Heimdall and Hyrrokkin abandon their "children" to go on holiday, Odin sends Baldur – Thor's half brother and god of making Loki look bad – to babysit.Wry, witty and very funny diary-style story packed with doodles and comic strips about the frustration trickster god Lok. In each book, Loki must face the challenges of any ordinary 11-year-old, and the results are knee-slappingly, tear-inducingly hilarious! If you are under 16, please obtain your parent/guardian’s permission before submitting or ask your parent/guardian to submit on your behalf. When Heimdall and Hyrrokkin abandon their "children" to go on holiday, Odin sends Baldur - Thor's half brother and god of making Loki look bad - to babysit. Louie Stowel totally gets school children’s humour and I marvel at her whip smart one liners and hilarious situations.

Definitely one you must have on your bookshelves, Loki: A Bad God’s Guide to Ruling the World is my favourite in the series so far and my wife had to ask me to be quiet when I was reading as I was laughing so hard. When Heimdall and Hyrrokkin abandon their “children” to go on holiday, Odin sends Baldur – Thor’s half brother and god of making Loki look bad – to babysit. Told through magical diary entries that reveal only the truth, it's the Norse gods as you've never seen them: hilarious, immature--and prepubescent.I have come to the conclusion that as a mere mortal, there are things about deities that I would never understand.
