Description

As someone who enjoys yoga and have experience with breathing techniques for meditation etc, I can see this being useful. HYPNOBIRTHING is an invaluable technique for EVERY woman with a baby inside her uterus and for EVERY type of birth -- from a natural water birth through to an unplanned caesarean. After a difficult past labour I was very apprehensive about finding out that I was pregnant just due to the fact that I would have to do it again.

I absolutely sped through the book and really found learning about the actual hormonal process of labour and birth and how I can affect that incredibly helpful. This book really outlines what to expect during each phase of labor for you and your birth partner so you feel ready and knowledgeable. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. In this book, Siobhan debunks common myths about hypnobirthing and explains why she believes it can make every type of birth a better experience – from a water birth at home to an unplanned caesarean in theatre.

This book has given me the chance to understand the choices I have within the birth centre/hospital and I can't wait to use some of the techniques. I gave birth to my first baby on 21st April and used loads of the hypnobirthing techniques but also wanted a hospital birth and pain relief. g. , “anglesia” (not a word) instead of “analgesia”, adding an unnecessary “T” to “also” so it sounds more like “altso”, and one instance of (I assume) “parental” being incorrectly replaced by “paternal”. Edit: although ended up not giving birth naturally, this book put me in the right mindset and I am forever thankful.

For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin. This book has some valuable information – breathing techniques, partner-assisted exercises, affirmations, and general birth education that can (hopefully) make for a positive birth experience. I feel like every woman who is about to give birth should read this, because it explains things NO ONE had ever told me. This book has kind of a fancy/ weird title, but I think a better one (and I feel like the author would agree) would be: Just breathe!I think it is essential to understand how the system works because being frightened about the birthing process proves to be unhelpful.

The book was just a basic primer on what you need to know for birth— the stages of labor, how to pack a hospital bag, writing a birth plan. It's not dogmatic about birth needing to be 'natural', and the author says to be ready for changes to the plan, and that a C-section is just as positive as a vaginal birth if it feels positive. However, as promising as the initial birth biology 101 chapters were, Miller's perspective comes off overwhelmingly as anti-hospital propaganda. However, as someone with a long-term medical condition who requires giving birth in a hospital and to be induced before 40 weeks, I instead was left feeling incredibly disheartened and quite often, frightened by my lack of "control". One subject I found strange was the natural c-section… where you can ask to dim the lights etc… I’d like my surgeon to see what he/she is doing thank you very much! I haven’t given birth yet and although I’ve read this book cover to cover I know I’m not done reading it. HYPNOBIRTHING will change your mindset towards birth, so that you'll be able navigate your birth - and any twists and turns - with confidence, armed with practical tools that ensure you feel calm and in control throughout. The advice that she gives in this book is indeed practical and I appreciate how she break things down in detail, explaining the specific role of each person involved in the birth process.

I can't say much about the hypnobirthing techniques because I haven't got a chance to practice them yet, but I think it's worth trying since it sounds so logical and science-based.In definitiva, utile per certi versi ma si sta parlando di una persona che sostanzialmente vende quello che racconta e purtroppo questo l’ho avvertito tanto.
