Well I have had the my recently purchased Aldi cooler running for a good 24 hours now, and my findings are that it probably wll only reach it's claimed 18DegC below ambient, when the ambieint is at +30DegC which pretty much renders the unit as useless for storing coked and fresh meats in as the OP intended. EASY TO CLEAN - The hygienic wipe clean exterior and interior of this camping cooler box makes it easy to keep your it clean. This is great for a car where you can use the cigarette lighter socket, but not so good in your tent when you have a 240V mains hookup.

The weather was really warm and we didnt have any electrics so popped two frozen two litre bottles of water in on Friday morning, and until about an hour ago the temperature gauge was still only reading 3 degrees. It’s the perfect thing to take on long car trips or caravan holidays, with a 28 litre capacity and a power control dial that lets you flip between hot and cold functions. With an integrated trolley handle and wheels, the cooler is easy to carry and pull around, so you can take it with you to the perfect spot, whether it's at the beach or the campsite. If you're into trekking, want something for the odd picnic, or to keep your lunch cool for work A cooler bag may be the way to go. Insulation: From our testing, not all electric cool boxes can reliably keep food and drinks sufficiently chilled if it’s warm outside. It has a hot, cold, eco and max setting like other cool boxes and LED light so you can see at a glance what setting you are on. For storing stuff like Chicken etc as the OP mentions you have to be real carefull, the fridge/cooler should always be at +5DegC to ensure that bacterie don't grow. A nice touch is a dividing section which can be filled with water and frozen at home before you set off on your journey. SPACIOUS - Versatile, spacious and portable, this Hi-Gear camping cool box, with a generous 28 litre capacity, will keep your food and drink at the perfect temperature on long car journeys, staycations and camping trips.

If you're planning a family picnic, the spacious Hi-Gear 45-litre electric cooler is a must-have item. However, they produce exceptional chilling and can have the temperature adjusted accurately using a thermostat. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Vonshef actually suggest 12°C as the minimum temperature which is way off from where we would prefer to be – around 5-6°C. Be aware this uses a thermoelectric cooler which is horribly inefficient so don't expect it to run for days on a leisure battery.
