The jumble of ideas evidently yields lesser ones, and when they do show up, it’s not an insignificant gulf. In December 2021, the band announced that they would be going on a United States tour with Attack Attack! On 17 November 2012, the band announced after a concert in Düsseldorf that they were parting ways with their drummer Michael Maletzki; he was replaced by David Friedrich. In “Tekkno,” a mash-up between Eurodance-inspired tunes and brutal djent-sprinkled riffs becomes the norm.

It’s a rarity, definitely, and one which it’s not even clear if they’ll be able to pull off again given their past record, but the results speak for themselves, at the end of the day.

It’s most noticeable when they’re given the prime focus, like on Mindreader or Parasite that see the colour drain and the format get a lot more stale. Well, it’s a prime example of how I explain this band to new potential fans – it’s like a metalcore version of The Lonely Island meets Weird Al Yankovic.

Unfortunately, compared to what they’ve discovered in the rest of Tekkno, these are the weaker points. Even if you don’t understand a word of German, you get the idea when he raps, “Wo sind die Jedi-Ritter?and Enter Shikari, as both vocalists Kevin Ratajczak and Nico Sallach take turns to get you all hyped up for the next half hour and ensure that you’re definitely in the party mood.

The band's musical style can be described as electronicore, [32] [33] [34] [35] metalcore, [32] [19] [36] [37] melodic metalcore, [35] [38] post-hardcore, [34] [39] EDM, [32] [36] comedy rock, [36] dubstep, [34] and electro. If you want to know what kind of humor defines the band, I suggest you watch the latest “Hurrikan” music video linked below. On 12 February 2020, the band announced through their social media appearances that the previous singer "Sushi" would be leaving the band. The band changed the word 'Eskimo' to 'Electric' because it can be seen as a derogatory name for the Inuit and Yupik people in Alaska. This is obviously half the point, and the band are clearly enjoying themselves (and, indeed, trolling those who don't dig it).
