There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit!

In The Coldest Case: A Black Book Audio Drama, homicide detective Billy Harney sends his new partner, Kate, deep undercover in a notorious Chicago drug ring. It had a promising premise, but the tedious writing and poor execution made it impossible for me to become engaged in the story or care about the characters despite my best efforts. He’s maybe not so loyal to the ruler of the Fae as everyone seems to think…and he requires Emelin’s help to overthrow her. Emelin is very smart and determined and I love that she talks back, evil though he could kill her with his pinky. There are quite some famous tropes in this novel, like enemies-to-lovers, there’s-only-one-bed, and fake relationship.Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. This isn’t even the first book that’s followed a similar format, it’s just one of the few I’ve overlooked in favour of curiosity. The Silent Death believes he can use Emelin's magic for his own ends, and whisks her away to become a major player in a game more complex than Emelin ever thought possible. Book one, Prince of the Sorrows, tells the tale of a human changeling who is desperately trying to stay in the Faerie realm. I was very pleasantly surprised given the title and weird "steamy fae fantasy romance" tagline (on kindle), thought that this would be a bad fun time/same old same old acotar wannabe.

Em manages to blind the Mother and rescue Creon, and at the end of the novel, they leave together with Lyn and Tared. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money. Others found the colour thing interesting, and I would have agreed if it was like a specific power line and not an all encompassing magic system. In the following section, you’ll find a recap that you can use to prepare for the next book when it is published. Probably why she was so annoying was because the MMC wasn’t fully balancing her out and drawing attention away from her neurosis and budding hero complex. I absolutely love that the magic works through colour and I thought the Labyrinth was a delight, but they weren’t explored enough.
